Rob Reedy's VBlog for 3 Feb 2006 - road trip

Watch the video

I attempted to take you inside both Fry Electronics and Whataburger, but both places seemed to have a problem with spontanious video-tape... go figure.

Also available to view on Google video if you want to see it stream faster at: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=119684096775810716

Rob...a good clean blog...nice. You come across rather well, too. My interest is first and formost, what kind of work do you do now?
The file listed as having to do with Whattaburger and Fry Electronics is so big I'm gonna have to take some time to download...but...any private establishment will put their foot in your mouth when you take a video camera in...even shopping malls will restrict you. It's a privacy issue.

Georgie, thanks for the kind words... yes, the file is rather large... while I said I was going to keep my VBlogs between 3 and 5 min... I believe I may have to strive to keep them 3 min, and maybe just make more of them ;-) In the mean time... for faster views, you can also check for the Flash version by going to http://videos.google.com and then searching for Rob Reedy .

Yes, both businesses are private establishments, but when they see the benefit of free publicity, I am sure they will open up... they just have to be sure that I desire to frame this in a positive way, and not a slam against them... how does that quote go? "You know it's going to be a bad day when you come to work and find a '60 Minutes' newscrew camped at your doorstep." I just need to convince them that a video blogger is a GOOD thing :-)

ALSO... sorry, I did not intend to neglect the question you asked... I am currently the computer lab supervisor at a community college. I was unemployed for six months here in the Houston area, and with the Katrina and Rita flood of the labor pool, I was fortunate to get this job...
My degree is in Education and Instructional Design, I was an Air Traffic Controller for 10 years in Chicago, and have worked as a Computer Consultant. Before I was unemployed, I was a Supervisor for the TSA when it first began and we went all over the country "federalizing" the airports.
